Each year in March, clocks in several countries around the world are set forward by one hour, marking the transition to Daylight Saving Time. In Europe, this change will occur on the night of Saturday, March 28 to Sunday, March 29, 2026, between 2:00 a.m. and 2:59 a.m.
In this specific calendar context, certain checks may be necessary when using the software during the time change period, such as:
- Care plan scheduling may not be correctly applied since the system continues to display 24-hour days. Example: for a prescription scheduled once per hour, an additional occurrence will appear in the care plan.
- Infusion duration may be incorrect when the infusion is ongoing during the 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. time slot. One additional hour will be recorded in the care plan. As a result, the fluid balance will be impacted.

We recommend that you schedule these tasks before or after the time change :
- Whenever possible, schedule prescriptions outside the time window between 2:00 a.m. and 2:59 a.m. on the night of the time change.
- For prescriptions including administrations scheduled during this time slot, it is recommended to verify their consistency before and after the time change and, if necessary, adjust their scheduling.
- Ensure appropriate traceability of administrations performed during this period, in particular to distinguish actions carried out before and after the time change.
- After the time change, review the patient’s care plan and, if necessary, adjust prescriptions or protocols in accordance with your institution’s practices.
- Particular attention should be paid to time-stamped data from biomedical devices recorded during this period in order to verify their consistency. The use of temporary traceability records may be considered to facilitate monitoring of care activities performed during this period.
